Taken

Perhaps the most beauty I have seen
Lies in your hand, and how it moves for me

It made me and stayed back while I lived carefree
It touched me and told me your love runs deep

I've felt it along a road of learning, seeking you out,
of failings & yearnings

I've mistaken its absence in times when I've prayed
answers not returning but your hand remained

Your hand's uncovered my eyes revealing
The hardest of hearts, my never ending need

In utter heartbreak, your hand, so sweet
held me, consoled deep, lead me to my feet

When darkness grew darker, the desert's final blow
your hand holds out truth, to the promise land I go!

And now in the nothing, no earthly thing on which to lean
I still hold the one and most precious thing

The hand of my Savior, Mr. Everlasting
My heart's cry, "I do," to this song he sings,
"Marry me love, slip on this band
Dance with me always, great things I have planned."
